Invented in 1928, it has become after its first commercialization an excellent material with countless applications.
It is nothing but an acrylic glass that, however, avoids all the problems of glass itself: unbreakable and resistant, it is 30 times stronger than classic glass even though the output is completely similar.
Light and manageable, it becomes a perfect support for countless parts of the interior furnishings of private individuals and commercial establishments: much lighter than glass, it is therefore preferred for creating objects of large dimensions.
Its processing is simple since it is a material that is easy to modify and shape. Drilling, cutting, and subsequent assembly are simple actions to perform, making it easily manageable.
Transparent and brighter than glass and not only: indestructible from atmospheric agents (in case of rain or humidity, it does not swell because it does not absorb) and aging, it also has excellent resistance to acids and alkaline substances. It does not yellow and does not become more fragile over the years.
The processing techniques applicable to plexiglass make it chosen over glass. It appears both satin matte or glossy shiny. Thanks to the absence of pores, it gets dirty less than classic glass.
Both the world of art and the world of design often choose this material to perfectly finish their products thanks to the various processing it can support.
